Swat Collegiate School and College is an educational institute in private sector working under the close supervision of governing body. Principal of the college is the head of the institution. (Including primary & girls section)
He represents the college at the education board. He signs and issues certificate and run the college with the assistance of various committees. These committees are responsible for curricular as well as Co-curricular jobs given to them by the principal. He presides over the meetings.
Swat Collegiate aims to make learning more interesting and fun for its students by unleashing their minds. By implementing the NCE (New Century Education) Curriculum from Pre-primary to class 7th, this exceptional and creative learning process in collegiate has helped the students learn the subjects easily and master the concepts well. Under this education environment, the students have become more observant, Confident in expressing their views and opinions independently and are able to recollect what is taught without the help of text books. The development of moral characters, self-esteem and sense of responsibilities, the fulfillment of academic and leadership potential, critical, analytical and independent thinking; well rounded; balanced and healthy living; appreciation for what is true; good and beautiful in one’s own and other.
This committee consist of all the heads of the sub committees, controller of examination and chief proctor. Principal of the college is the head of the academic council. It discusses the ways of improving the standard of education and sees the facilities, provided in the college. It also deals with discipline and formulates rules and regulations for smooth functioning of the college.
Admission Committees:
This committee is responsible to facilitate fresh students seeking admission in the collegiate. It is led by chairman admission committee and has 5 energetic staff members to assist the chairman of admission committee. Applications for admission are submitted with chairman admission committee. The committee notifies the dates for entry tests and interviews in respect of admission made in accordance with the facilities available in the college through wide publications.
Proctorial Board:
The proctorial board aims to provide a supportive, friendly and empathetic environment to the students. It helps students to solve their problems and equip them to cope up with future difficulties. Chief proctor is the head of the proctorial board and some senior, polite, cooperative and energetic students as monitors, commanders and proctors assist him/her. They report the cases to the chief proctor regularly.
Science Society:
The science society arranges lectures, seminars, workshop, films shows, exhibitions and study circles by facilitating a concrete and realistic understanding of scientific and technical problems.
Games and Sports Committee:
Sport is an entertainment in the form of exercise helps in increasing the mental strength and power to study for students. Keeping this objective in mind, a Games and Sports Committee has been formed in the college. This committee is run by sports in charge and some members to assist him.
The school specially nurtures talent in sports such as Foot ball, Vall ball, Cricket and badminton and sends students to participate in district level competitions in sports..
Hiking Club: (Hiking and tourism)
The hiking club encourages all students to go out for hiking and trekking, it inculcates the spirit of adventure and the capacity to bear hardships. Educational tours, to the destinations of historical, cultural and industrial importance all over the country, are organized during the breaks. This is in addition to regular outing, excursions, trekking and mountaineering trips deep into the swat region.
Collegiate Transport Service: (CTS)
Swat collegiate school & college has specially arranged transportation in order to facilitate the access of its students to school/college. For this purpose CTS runs through various routs of the area.
Rules:
i. Students using CTS must obtain bus pass from the school / College, which shall be
valid for one month.
ii. Transport Fee for each month shall be in advance, which shall not be refundable
iii. CTS is a privilege and not a right.
iv. No outsider is allowed to travel in CTS accept in case of the principal’s permission
v. Making noise, listening music, using abusive language, throwing rubbish in the bus
and writing on the seat are strictly prohibited.
Uniform:
To bring uniformity amongst students, all the students are required to wear
uniform as shown below.
Summar:
Boys: Light green shirt, dark grey pant black schools shoes, black socks.
Girls: Light green qamees, white shalwar, white scarp, black shoes, black socks.
Winter :
Boys: Light green shirt + dark grey trouser, black shoes, black socks, dark green coat, and dark
green sweater
Girls: Light green Qamees, white shalwar, dark green coat, dark green sweater, dark scarp,
black socks and black shoes.
Hostel Rules and Regulation:
Swat Collegiate provides hostel facilities only for Boys students who are about to appear in the board examinations. College authorities are not responsible to provide hostel accommodation to all students.
- Rooms are allotted on merit.
- Residence in the hostel is a privilege and not a right.
- Authority may refuse accommodation to any student whose conduct is not good.
- Bringing fire arms, weapons, heater VCR and narcotic in the hostel are strictly prohibited.
- Actual electricity and gas charges shall have to be paid by all boarders if in excess of the advance money. No visitor shall be allowed to live in the hostel except the father / guardian, who shall be permitted for one night.
General admission policy:
All admission except in Pre-primary shall be made strictly on merit.The entrance examinations are conducted well before the commencement of the new academic year (April).this entrance test helps to identify the learning needs of each individual child, so that attention can be directed to him/ her in a better way.
The dates, time and venue of the tests are fixed in advance. The test format is based on Islamic studies, Urdu, Science, Math’s and English. The students are interviewed to evaluate their potentialities for a better gradation.
It is desirable that all admission formalities are completed well before the end of march, However limited vacancies may exist in the middle of the academic year.
Within one week of confirmation of admission, the admission Fee and caution deposits should be paid at the school office.
Intermediate:
Admission shall start for F.Sc after declaration of results of SSC which shall be on merit.
Students failed in one or more subjects shall not be eligible for admission to 1st year.
Students in 3rd division will not be allowed admission.
The upper age limit at the line of admission shall not be more than 18 years.
Students having passed in supplementary examination shall not be eligible for
admission in the same academic year.
Students who fail in any class or did not appear in the annual examination or discontinue
their studies for any reasons, shall not be admitted in the same class.
Change of subjects in 1st year shall not be admissible after 30 days of the beginning of session.
Admission stands cancelled as under:
1, If any of the information given by the students, found incorrect.
2, If he/she fails to attend classes within a week of start of session.
3, If he/she is absent from classes continuously for a week with out proper leave.
4, If he is found to be a professional agitator or struck off from college rolls on disciplinary grounds.
Documents required for admission:
- Three recent passport size photographs of the candidate.
- School living certificate of the last school attended.
